THE COMMON WELL

2nd Annual CLOTHESLINE ART SALE

SEPTEMBER 14th 10am - 8pm at THE COMMON WELL

COLLECTORS

Most art collections begin in the same way, small.

Few of us can start with gallery pieces.

In the beginning, both the piece and the price need to be compelling.

The Common Well’s Second Annual Clothesline Art Sale is an opportunity for artists to share their unsold or unpolished rough sketches, concepts, and off-cuts. And it’s an opportunity for collectors to acquire original, unframed art for a steal.

ARTISTS

Artists, we’d love to sell your work during our SECOND ANNUAL CLOTHESLINE ART SALE September 14 from 10am to 8pm at THE COMMON WELL! We will display and sell your unframed, original artwork priced between $10 and $50 from clotheslines indoors. We’ll also have limited space for three dimensional pieces like ceramics, sculpture. There’s no entry fee. A 20% commission is charged on works sold. Or work a two-hour volunteer shift and pay zero commission! Limited shifts available. Up to 20 pieces per artist. All works must be original.

We’re looking to expand the population of art collectors in our community by offering original works at a steal. Don’t bring us your masterpieces! We want your rough sketches, your concept drawings, your ghost prints and off cuts. Some of us love your unpolished stuff the most!

All paper pieces should arrive inside a clear envelope for hanging. Nothing huge, please.

Take a second to complete the form below so we have an idea what you’re planning to bring.

All pieces should be dropped off at The Common Well (110 W. 31st Street, Garden City) on Friday, September 6th between 10am and 4pm. Pieces should be labeled with your name, contact information, title, and price.

Proceeds from the sale and unsold works can be picked up Wednesday, September 18th between 10am and 4pm.
